Healthy Bites: Strawberry & Yogurt Parfait
Maybe it’s not January or so, but I’ve decided to change a little bit my lifestyle. In about a year, I’ll be stepping into the not that flattering world of 30’s, so better I start taking care of my body more seriously. It may sound weird but I’m finding out that healthy lifestyle is not that hard and actually, it’s quite fine. I mean, I wont deny the power of a good pizza or a beer, but I have to accept it, since I’ve been working out and eating consciously, my body has been doing great. As a matter of fact, this is an old recipe but I just don’t get tired of it. It’s not just a super healthy one but a delicious and fast one too! Combo. All that you need is strawberries, which are an excellent source of vitamin C and manganese; plain yoghurt, which it has nutritional benefits beyond those of milk; walnuts, ’cause protein in walnuts provides many essential amino acids; raisins, as the routine consumption of raisins may significantly lower blood pressure; and finally, honey, which its vitamins and minerals make it preferable to sugar. These ingredients would make of this the perfect parfait, ha. I like to put my layers in the following order: yoghurt + strawberries + walnuts +raisins + honey; then I use a dessert spoon to pick up all the layers easily. Let me know if you give it a try!
